Rainbow Moonstone is a type of feldspar mineral, technically known as labradorite (a variety of the plagioclase group), prized for its iridescent sheen called adularescence—that soft, colorful glow that shifts when light hits the surface. Despite the name, it’s not a true moonstone (which is orthoclase feldspar), but it’s often grouped with it because of its similar visual magic.

Note: Its layered structure causes light diffraction, creating the rainbow-like adularescence.
